  11. I have a Cardinal MVP288i modem that's been working well for me.
  12. However, I'm experiencing a strange problem and would appreciate
  13. thoughts!

  15. At times, when trying to make a SLIP connection or a dial up
  16. connection (BBS), my modem will not connect with the remote modem
  17. because it falsely thinks the line is busy.  [I know this because
  18. after several repeat attempts, I use a voice line (same line, same
  19. jack) to make sure the other modem is open, then wait for a short time
  20. for hang up, try again, and the same thing happens.]

  22. my init string is AT&F&C!&D2S95=46.  It's also happened with the
  23. default init string.
